Seven men passed through Panache between 1976 and the end of the decade, and three of them had already been in bands together since school.
- Pat HamillVocals
The focus of the band — sometimes sweet and soulful, sometimes soaring and passionate. He has since died. The recordings here are what remains of that voice.
- Dougie CampbellGuitar
Played through every version of the band from the 2D Sparklers onward, and wrote down its history. Now lives in South Africa, where he restores the old tapes.
- Alan MackieBass
Has spent the last few years transferring the archive to tape-by-tape and putting it online.
- George McClarkinDrums
An original member, from Violent Sabbath and the Slug Band through Auricle to Panache. Co-wrote the 2D Sparklers song whose lyric sheet survives.
- Robert WilliamsKeyboards
The original keyboard player, on the Victorian Carriage live recordings.
- Alastair SinclairKeyboards
Joined when Robert left, and played on the 1978 London studio session.
- Derek TaylorDrums
Joined when George left, and played on the 1978 London studio session.

- John McGeochViolent Sabbath, Slug Band
A schoolmate who played guitar alongside Dougie and George in Greenock, then left for Magazine, Visage, Siouxsie and the Banshees and PiL. He died on 4 March 2004.
- Ian ParkerAuricle
Wrote the tunes for Auricle and stretched everyone’s chops. Later joined the Hollies.
- Alan CummingRoadie
Taped two Glasgow gigs at the Dial Inn and the Amphora, kept the cassettes for nearly fifty years, and handed them over in 2025.

Bass, in the school bands that came before.
- Archie Petrie, John Dunn2D Sparklers
Greenock High School. John Dunn is a co-writer on the surviving lyric sheet.
